Fold mesh over the tube all the way around the drum, and clamp it in place with clothespins.
Using heavy duty thread, sew all the way around the inside of the hoop, removing the clothespins along the way.
Once finished sewing, tightly tie off the ends, but not so tight that it deforms the head. Trim the excess mesh. Rotate the hoop inside the drum to break he glue joints, making the top surface (the side opposite the trimmed mesh) the flat side. The mesh head is now complete.
